Coat check rooms now required to check privilege

California Governor Gavin Newsom issued an executive order today requiring all restaurants with a coat check room to also check the privilege of every guest. Rich white people everywhere are tweeting their approval. In his press conference Newsom had this to say regarding the policies inception,

“I was quarantined and eating dinner at a restaurant that’s shut down but I know the owner. So anyway he asked to check my coat and I thought, if they can check people’s garments, why not their privilege? It just seemed so progressive I couldn’t believe no one else had thought of it.”

Alyssa Milano tweeted her approval with a bunch of hand clap emojis and periods between every one. The Young Turks Ana Kasparian tweeted “this” with a finger pointing emoji directed cleverly toward the link to the relevant article.
